When Can Children get the COVID-19 Vaccine?
With vaccines now available to protect against COVID-19, we are making a big step toward ending the pandemic. There are three vaccines currently approved for adults and teens 16 and older. One of the vaccine makers has asked for FDA approval to include children as young as 12, and clinical trails are expected to begin soon in children as young as 6 months old.
CHOA is vaccinating individuals 16-20 and their caregivers with the Pfizer vaccine at the Fulton County Board of Health vaccination site located at the Georgia International Convention Center. Individuals under 18 must have a guardian present to receive the vaccine. Learn more at CHOA's COVID-19 Vaccine Website.
